The global spread of COVID-19 is impacting all of our daily lives. In particular, disruptions are being strongly felt in the retail and hospitality industries.
This is a difficult and challenging time for the industry. However, I’ve been inspired and humbled by organizations showing solidarity and stepping up to the plate to support those who need it most - from LVMH repurposing perfume production lines to make hand sanitizer through to Lidl, Tesco and Sainsburys launching priority hours for the elderly to pick up the items they need.
With the unprecedented scale and daily escalation of the COVID-19 crisis, I’d like to share an update about what we here at YOOBIC are doing to help our customers through this challenging and uncertain time.
During the crisis, our customers’ priority will be safeguarding the health and safety of their customers and employees.
Another priority, especially considering the increased pressure on the employees and supply chains of grocery and pharmaceutical retailers, is keeping things running as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
YOOBIC is committed to helping our customers during this difficult and challenging time - especially those who may be struggling to meet increased consumer demands in light of the surge of foot traffic as consumers stock up on essentials.
For the duration of the COVID-19 crisis, the YOOBIC customer success and implementation teams will be here to assist your teams and make your day-to-day lives easier in any way we can.
However, we want to take this further. I believe that mobile technology is something we must now utilize to its fullest capacity to help those on the frontline of the crisis.
During this time, connecting and communicating with frontline staff to keep them engaged and informed is of paramount importance.
For this reason, we’ve opened up access to our collaborative learning and engagement app, YOOBIC Boost, to help those on the front line of the crisis - grocery retailers, pharmacies, and healthcare services - as well as educational and governmental organizations.
Free access to YOOBIC Boost for organizations in these industries will continue for the duration of the crisis.
You can learn more about using YOOBIC Boost to educate, engage and communicate with your teams and sign up for your account here.
The retail and hospitality industries are facing unforeseen challenges over the coming weeks and months. However, I am confident that this crisis will pass.
On behalf of myself and the team here at YOOBIC, I’d also like to express how grateful we are to those helping others on the frontline of the crisis like supermarket employees, pharmacists and nurses, doctors and healthcare professionals.
I wish you and all your friends and families good health.
Sincerely,
Fabrice Haiat
Co-founder & CEO of YOOBIC
